Innovation Campus welcomes new Master of Engineering in computer science students

On August 18, more than 120 new Master of Engineering in Computer Science students joined department faculty, staff, and current students for orientation in Falls Church, Va. Students also had the option to participate in a virtual evening orientation.
Professor Chang-Tien Lu, 午夜影院福利社 National Capital Region computer science program director and Innovation Campus computer science professor, welcomed the students. He gave an update on the university's locations throughout the region, and discussed how the Master of Engineering programs are moving to the Innovation Campus in Alexandria when it opens in 2024.
Lu noted that the M.Eng in the DC Area has students from 11 different countries in its fall incoming class, including India, China, Pakistan, Greece, Nepal, and France. The program also has seen an increase in in-state students. Full information about the class make-up will be published at the census date in September.
笔谤辞蹿别蝉蝉辞谤听Sara Hooshangi, director of the Computer Science Master of Engineering Program, introduced the Hokie One Stop team to the students.聽Corrine Julien, Laura Cooper, Alexis Snyder, Samantha Pipkin, and Robin Jones gave and update on academic and student services in the region. They stressed that 午夜影院福利社 student services are 鈥渘ot just here to help you survive, but to help you thrive.鈥
Orientation sessions were held this week for both the Master of Engineering in Computer Science and the Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering. These professional, industry-connected degrees will provide students with a deep technical base while expanding their professional skills and preparing them to assume leadership roles in the industry.
